Since graduating from the Royal Scottish Academy, Gary's career has gone from strength to strength.
Blessed with typical "Scottish" looks, strawbery blond hair and blue eyes, Gary's curls get him noticed wherever he goes. As Robbie Fraser, the camp and witty hairdresser at the salon in Sheildinch, in the BBC's Scottish Soap, "River City", Gary has created a character that is already very popular and a big hit with viewers. Robbie arrived at the salon last Summer and has had some great fun storylines. If you are not in Scotland and want to see "River City", catch it on BBC i Player.
It was also Gary's Scottish look that got him the job, a couple of years ago, as the face of ANZ Bank in New Zealand, playing a recent immigrant from Scotland. He loved flying to New Zealand and doing a bit of sight-seeing between work.
Pantomime credits have included "Sleeping Beauty" at the Brunton, Musselburgh in 2008 and "Cinderella" at the MacRobert, Stirling, in 2007.
Recently Gary was in the title role in "Aladdin" at Arbroath, along with "River City" co-star Pamela Byrne and David Van Day of 80's pop duo, "Dollar" fame.
