If it's versatility you want, you have come to the right place. Anna Westford, born and raised in West London, yet with an American look and feel about her, has real crossover appeal.
After training at Stage School, Anna studied Classical Theatre and Musical Theatre, and is now seen as an actress with a strong singing voice, good movement and an understanding of classical text.
Anna has been a part of two very successful Edinburgh productions; "Snoopy, the Musical" in which she played the naughty girl in Peanuts, Lucy, and "Shakespeare for Breakfast", which was a version of "Taming of the Shrew", in which she played a Comedy Narrator.
American roles have included "Stage Door" at The White Bear and "Land of Opportunity" at The Tabard. Anna's American accent is faultless and there will be more East Coast roles to come, we are sure.
On screen, who can forget the Goldie Lookin' Chain song "Your Missus is a Nutter", in which Anna was the "Nutter" in question, in the video? Anna also appeared in an episode of "Waking the Dead", and had a tiny role in the successful movie "East is East".
In Spring 2009 Anna has landed the lead role in "And then they came for Me", a powerful and moving portrayal of the true life story of Anne Frank's half-sister, Eva Geiringer. Eva, who has lived in the UK for many years, had this play written around her experiences leading up to her imprisonment in "Auschwitz", and tries, when she can, to attend showings of the play. Touring the UK and internationally, there are plans for the production to be seen in Israel later this year.
