Heralding from Motherwell in Scotland, Stephen is very proud of his roots, and is looking forward to playing Scottish characters on TV, as his career progresses.
Trained in Musical Theatre, but keen to do all types of work, Stephen is a strong tenor and excellent dancer. Credits during training include Claude in "Hair", Doug in "Elegies for Angels, Punks and Raging Queens", at Hull Truck, and the musicals "Stepping Out" and "Nine". Since entering the profession Stephen has toured with the pantomimes "Cinderella", (UK national tour), and played Boris the comedian in "Snow White", on Scottish tour. At Edinburgh Festival Stephen played Charlie Brown in the very popular revival of "Snoopy, the Musical".
International roles have included a Summer Season for Openwide International in Majorca, in a high quality varied revue show and 6 months touring the Mediterranean and the Baltic for Costa Cruises.In 2009 Stephen worked for Scottish Opera in "Cosi Fan Tutte", and also landed a regular gig in the Edinburgh-based Scottish Tenors.
Currently brushing up his skills at RSAMD, Stephen will be next available for work in Autumn 2010.
