Blake is originally from Nottingham, but has travelled extensively, so he sees himself as a versatile international actor, as much as being from the East Midlands.
Trained in Musical Theatre at the Midlands Academy of Dance and Drama, Blake's first love is singing. He writes and performs his own songs, and has a large repertoire.
Where many actor/singers are not strong enough in dance, it is Blake's physicality that has got him some jobs. He has worked as a singer/dancer on board ship for Sharmar Productions, on "Ocean Village", for a Christmas cruise of the Caribbean.
In 2009 Blake was chosen to be the face and body of a Swiss insurance company "Wild Pig". The job involved having a pig/man creature costume contructed over several weeks at a special effects builder's, and a week's shoot on top of a Swiss mountain in a glamorous ski resort. The result is a very entertaining and memorable insurance advert.
In Spring 2009 Blake worked for Quantum Theatre for Science, touring with an educational production "Octopushy". Quantum aim to bring science to young audiences in an educational yet entertaining way.
Over Christmas/New Year 2009/10 Blake played the title role in "Peter Pan", for the panto producer, Paul Holman. The production, at Broxbourne in Hertfordshire was excellent and Blake made a perfect Peter Pan.
Naturally photogenic, Blake is often in demand for photoshoots. he has a lovely classic look that is highly versatile. He is also a very good photographer himself and joins the ranks of a few successful actors who also become successful photographers.
